DAY ZERO (2022)
DAY ZERO explores the theme of human relations with nature, moving beyond the perspective of the individual, as it were. The multiplicity of references to evolution, dualism of environments capable of breeding life, metaphors associated with the human psyche and specific problems afflicting the contemporary world offer well-nigh limitless space of moving in a world non-literal, understated and non-obvious in equal measure.
SOLO TEN (2021)
Written for a contemporary dance performance SOLO TEN by Marcin Motyl
“TEN” in the Polish language is a demonstrative masculine pronoun indicating a singular object or person. In English it is a natural number of a certain amount. “SOLO TEN” is an exploration of genetic engineering on the human body. With this new form, the subject uses his movement abilities and the potential of his imagination in order to mirror our new future selves.
