#undermyskin is an interactive dance project born out of an urgency to reflect on today's addictive use of social media. The film is inspired by true stories and experiences of the dancers themselves. A fictional dance narration of stories of excessive addiction and sometimes dramatic resolutions. How do social networks affect our identity, emotions and interpersonal relationships? And how do they influence standards of beauty and widespread forms of cyberbullying and ethnic discrimination? As in a video game, the viewer is invited to interact by becoming responsible for the consequences of their choices. Social networks can be exciting, welcoming, and fun BUT they can also be damaging, offensive, and addictive.
